Premier India Bearings Limited, the leading industrial bearings distributor today announced the opening of its new independent office building at Chennai, India. This office consolidates all corporate and sales functions and will now serve as South India’s headquarters. It’s a key milestone towards integrating and establishing one strong entity reflecting a new era of growth, strengthening of business relationships and reinforces commitment to clients across Southern India.
Located at a prime business address of 193/282, Thambu Chetty Street, the office space is designed as per Premier’s new work philosophy and offers employees a modern work environment – connected, open and productive, the new office promotes a culture of collaboration and creativity.
Inaugurated by Mr. Marcus Eisenhuth, President, Industrial Europe, Schaeffler & Mr. Harsha Kadam MD, Schaeffler India, the occasion was graced by the presence of representatives from major industrial houses from this region along with other senior officials from Schaeffler, including Mr. Monte Crago, Head Distribution – Asia Pacific Industrial & Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Head-Distribution sales, Schaeffler India were in attendance.
Guests and Schaeffler team members were delighted by the traditional Indian welcome, replete with euphoric drumbeats, flowers and garlands. The milestone event kicked off with a Ribbon – Cutting Ceremony, followed by the unveiling of a dedication Plaque by Mr. Eisenhuth.
The premise is spread across three floors with an exclusive showroom space at ground level to cater walk-in customers. A revolutionary vendor managed inventory system is in place to effectively serve customers.
The top floor encompasses a meeting room with a video conferencing facility, a state of the art experience zone and engagement zone for employees.
It was indeed a special day for the Premier family, as they got together to demonstrate support and celebrate a new beginning.
Schaeffler guests were formally welcomed and felicitated with a symbolic traditional Angvastram at the inauguration ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Surendra Choraria, the founder Chairman of the group presented a vote of thanks to the well-wishers, valued customers and long serving staff for being inseparable cogs in the wheel of growth for the group. He further elaborated, “This is a momentous milestone as we continue our journey with Schaeffler India, leveraging our synergies and opportunities that the southern market presents”.
Mr. Harsha Kadam stated that Schaeffler India is proud of the long-standing relationship with Premier India as they have been an able and willing partner for the business growth of Schaeffler products in India. He hoped that the new regional office will be a major growth driver in times to come.
Leadership teams of Premier and Schaeffler later together participated in the lamp lighting ceremony to usher in a new era of partnership, which was followed by an office walkthrough.
The Schaeffler team also spent quality time with the Premier team, sharing insights and giving clear direction for the future road map.
